There are several areas you can launch a boat around the Gower, they vary from purpose built modern launch areas to far older ramps that you would need to take real care using. There are two popular venues and these are listed below.
 Knab Rock actually has two slipways, one for high water and the older slip which can be used at low water. You will need to pay to launch here and also to park your car and trailer
Oxwich Bay - Launching over sand, ideally a 4 wheel drive venue, but this venue does give you a greater range for fishing.
